Signal processors

A digital signal processor, DSP, is the part of the system that shapes the signal before it reaches the amplifiers and speakers. It works in the digital domain and allows precise control of level, frequency balance, crossover points and timing between channels. In practice this is used to compensate for the car interior and speaker placement so the system behaves more predictably and the sound becomes more natural and coherent at the listening position.
